Current Students

Click on the PayPal button to pay for lessons. Lesson payments are due on the first lesson of the month. Lessons are $25 for a half hour lesson once a week. Please pay for the whole month of lessons on or before the first lesson of the month. The Paypal form will say "$25." You’ll need to change it for multiple lessons.

New students are only obligated to pay for one lesson. If you decide to continue, the above policy applies.

Music Instruction

Jamie teaches guitar, mandolin, ukulele and songwriting. She offers private lessons in her home studio in Ottawa and teaches classes at community centers, colleges and festivals.

She also teaches via Skype.

Guitar Lessons

Beginning to intermediate students, kids and adults. For beginners, you can learn any style except classical. Intermediate players will focus on acoustic styles like country, singer-songwriter, bluegrass and folk. Jamie knows her share of power chords and blues licks so the rockers won't feel left out either. Half-hour lessons weekdays and weeknights, on a weekly basis when Jamie is not touring. East of downtown Ottawa, near Montreal and St. Laurent. Lots of free parking if you drive. Or take the bus -- easy access from routes 5 and 12. Mandolin Lessons

Beginning students will learn how to read chord diagrams and tab. Learn different strums and other techniques to play bluegrass, pop, folk, medieval or celtic. Half-hour lessons weekdays and weeknights, on a weekly basis when Jamie is not touring. East of downtown Ottawa, near Montreal and St. Laurent. Ukulele Lessons

This is one of the easiest instruments to play - great for kids and adults starting on their first instrument but also fun for anyone. Learn how to hold it, tune it and some chords and strums for your favorite songs. For more information, contact me.


Lessons on Skype

Learn from your home! You need a Skype address, reliable computer/pad (not a phone), webcam, fast net connection and PayPal. Lessons are supplemented with video and MP3. To find out more, contact me.
